Dr Norm's Faith Booster today - ARE YOU BORN AGAIN? Someone once said if you are only born once you will die twice, but if you are born again you will only die once, unless Jesus comes back first. So if you are saved or born again things will change! When you received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour something exciting happened to you. God, by His mighty power, took you out of the devil's family and placed you into His own Heavenly Forever Family. John 1:12 says it like this, "But to all who received Him, He gave the right to become children of God...All they needed to do was to trust Him to save them." You may not understand what has happened; but God sent His Son Jesus to die for your sins so you could be in Heaven with Him forever. Jesus said in John 3:7 "You must be born again!" To be born again simply means you have chosen to turn away from sin and accept God's standard for your life in the future. 2 Corinthians 5:17 "When a person becomes a Christian, he is not the same any more. A new life has begun." A person who is born again has no past any more because it is finished! God does not see any of your past life so neither should you. Your old life with its problems and sin consciousness has been swept away by the blood of the Lamb Jesus! Any person who becomes a Christian is changed first on the inside even though he looks the same on the outside. Then, as the person searches and obeys The Word of God and the Holy Spirit, what is on the inside will start to be revealed on the outside. Are you at the place in your life where you are ready to make a personal commitment to follow Christ and make him Lord of your life? All you have to do is reach out to Him in prayer. He loves you and is waiting to come into your heart and help you in whatever you are going through right now. If you would like to pray and receive Christ as your personal Lord & Saviour, please pray this simple prayer, or go to our website, watch the video and pray along with me as I lead you to receive Jesus. 'Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and forgive me of all my sins. I confess my sins before you this day. I denounce satan and all his works. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. Thank you for saving me. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that you rose from the dead. I am saved. Write my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. I choose to live my life for you from this day forward. I am free! I pray this prayer to the Father in the name of Jesus! Amen!' If you just prayed this prayer, welcome to the Heavenly Forever Family! Get in touch so we can help you live for Christ and grow as His disciple. Please email, mail, call or contact us. We'd like to bless you & send you a free booklet and a CD to help you understand your new life in Christ. Further articles on this Blog will bless you too. This week's NORMality by Dr Norm - FAITH STILL WORKS EVEN WHEN THE WORLD'S ECONOMY IS UNCERTAIN Many governments are saying we're in a recession and that many well established financial institutions [banks etc] are struggling to just stay afloat, so it’s no surprise many people are concerned about their financial future. For a number of years now I've been warning people, especially older people, not to get dependent on the government for their financial support. The question I purported was, “What if the government goes broke and can’t pay you a pension or welfare allowance?” And of course some countries around the world have already gone bankrupt. I have said we all need to learn to live by faith in God’s Word and establish a pattern of sowing and reaping right now so that if and when hard times come, we would already be self sufficient in God’s sufficiency! Most mornings over the past 6 months the newspapers are headlining the Global Economic problems in the US and international markets! America now has a new President and things should change, but I am not a politician or an economist so I can't comment on that appointment. I understand he has been born-again! The markets around this old world have shown amazing declines and some governments have been throwing money at companies who employ many workers [like car makers] to try to stabilise their economy. If we listened to the commentators and read the reports, we would probably think there was no hope. But as Christians our hope is not in the economy or the stability of the markets, nor in the decisions of Prime Ministers and Presidents. Our hope is in our God, and He assures us in His Word that He is able to turn the situation around for us, so we are at a benefit and not a loss in these difficult times. Many people I’ve spoken to over the last few years are concerned about the price of fuel going up, the cost of food generally rising; school fees for those with children in private schools are stretching the family budget to the limit. There was a time when I struggled to be able to put fuel in the car and pay all the bills, but no more. I discovered God's blessings far outweigh the problems of global economy with the credit crisis and flagging sales, the falling stock market and many large job losses; mortgage foreclosures all add to the deepening financial abyss that many seem to be heading towards. I was reading some interesting verses in Revelation 18, talking about the fall of Babylon in the New Living Testament. Rev 18:8 Therefore, the sorrows of death and mourning and famine will overtake her in a single day. She will be utterly consumed by fire, for the Lord God who judges her is mighty." 9 And the rulers of the world who took part in her immoral acts and enjoyed her great luxury will mourn for her as they see the smoke rising from her charred remains. 10 They will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will cry out, "How terrible, how terrible for Babylon, that great city! In one single moment God's judgment came on her." 11 The merchants of the world will weep and mourn for her, for there is no one left to buy their goods. 12 She bought great quantities of gold, silver, jewels, pearls, fine linen, purple dye, silk, scarlet cloth, every kind of perfumed wood, ivory goods, objects made of expensive wood, bronze, iron, and marble. 13 She also bought cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, olive oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle, sheep, horses, chariots, and slaves – yes, she even traded in human lives. 14 All the fancy things you loved so much are gone, they cry. "The luxuries and splendour that you prized so much will never be yours again. They are gone forever." 15 The merchants who became wealthy by selling her these things will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will weep and cry. 16 "How terrible, how terrible for that great city! She was so beautiful – like a woman clothed in finest purple and scarlet linens, decked out with gold and precious stones and pearls!" 17 And in one single moment all the wealth of the city is gone! And all the shipowners and captains of the merchant ships and their crews will stand at a distance. 18 They will weep as they watch the smoke ascend, and they will say, "Where in all the world is there another city like this?" 19 And they will throw dust on their heads to show their great sorrow. And they will say, "How terrible, how terrible for the great city! She made us all rich from her great wealth. And now in a single hour it is all gone." 20 But you, O heaven, rejoice over her fate. And you also rejoice, O holy people of God and apostles and prophets! For at last God has judged her on your behalf. Now is the time to get your finances, however much you may or may not have, put into Divine order. I have a teaching manual called THE BIBLICAL MONEY MANAGEMENT MANUAL and it may help you to do this. If you're interested it normally sells at $50, but with a response to this message you can have it for just $30. Dr Norm's Mid Week Faith Booster - DON'T GET UPSET When anger is in control, sin and the devil can have a field day in our lives. When we're angry it is bad for our health. God says it's OK to get angry, just don't sin. Everyone gets angry. It’s a normal emotion and there’s probably a good reason why we feel that way. It's amazing how easily many people get angry and upset by what someone says or does. It can happen to the best of us. We find ourselves completely undone by someone else’s behaviour. It could be anything from someone cutting you off in traffic, to your neighbour shouting at you. Mild to severe, other people’s actions can turn our world upside down. Keeping short accounts makes for a life full of peace. And that's a truth that will never change. But anger can be bad if we don't control it. Emotions such as anger and hostility ramp up our "fight for your rights” response. When that happens, stress hormones including adrenaline, speed up our heart rate and breathing. We get a burst of energy. Our blood vessels tighten. And blood pressure soars. We’re ready to run for our life or fight an enemy. If this happens often, it causes wear and tear on the artery walls. Most of the things that we get upset about aren’t our issues. The driver who cut you off? Their driving is not your issue. All you need to worry about is getting safely to your destination. That lazy co-worker who isn’t doing their share of the work? Not your issue. All you need to do is focus on your own good work. Jesus tells us to not be angry with our brother and to initiate peace with anyone who has a problem with us and to humble ourselves and settle the matter quickly even if we think it’s their fault. Because maturity and wisdom help us realize we aren’t perfect either and there’s always something we can acknowledge — something we need to be forgiven for. Matt 5:23-26 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. 26 Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny. There’s danger if we don’t settle a matter quickly. Anger, bitterness and resentment will grow, and we’re subject to a prison; one that won’t let us out until we’ve suffered and agonized; until we’ve paid the full price for our foolish refusal to pursue peace. Keeping a short account with others means we don’t leave things undone. We don’t let disagreements linger or bitterness grow. Then by doing that, we stay out of that prison in your mind and instead choose a life full of peace every single time. Eph 4:26-27 In your anger do not sin: Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Deut 30:19 Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! It's always up to us either to react to the situation or to act in God's kind of love. It's totally our choice! Norman Amen! Roll the care onto Jesus and let it go! FFC Team

This week's NORMality - KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE WORD Many people claim that faith in God and His Word is unscientific and unreasonable. They claim that educated scientists have disproved the Bible, or at least do not believe in God. Yet astronauts, who are highly educated in science, frequently affirm their faith in God after they have witnessed firsthand the amazing evidence of God's creation in the universe when they fly out in space. Psalm 73:1-5 The Message No doubt about it! God is good; good to good people, good to the good-hearted. But I nearly missed it, missed seeing his goodness. I was looking the other way, looking up to the people at the top, envying the wicked who have it made, who have nothing to worry about, not a care in the whole wide world. David nearly missed it because he was looking at others and their success and not following God's Word! The Bible is full of ordinary people whom God called to His divine mission. But which of them in their own power, or their own resources, or their own ways, had what was required to do what God called them to do? Think of Abraham, Moses or Joshua, or the disciples, Paul or any of the other Bible greats. Of themselves they were really nothing, but with God they were able to take on the world. I read about two little donkeys walking in Jerusalem and one donkey said, "Yesterday I was carrying Jesus and the crowds cheered me, but today they just chased me!" The second donkey answered, "That's how life is; without Jesus you are nothing!" When we compare ourselves to others we begin doubting The Lord's goodness. Comparisons only shift our focus away from Him onto our circumstances, our problems and that causes thoughts of discontent and lack. There are so many things in this world and in each one of our lives that can get us distracted from what’s before us; more importantly, on what God is doing and about to do in our lives! We must learn to keep our eyes on Jesus. When Peter was stepping out of the boat in Matthew 14 he had his eyes fixed on Jesus, who was walking on top of the water. But as soon as he took his eyes away from Jesus he began to sink. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Vs 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. When the devil tries to distract you, just keep looking to The Word. When you feel discouraged, disappointed, sick or in lack, just keep looking to and obeying The Word. Don't look to others and their successes, only look to Jesus, The Word. The Word already has all the answers and directions you will ever need. Norman Dr. Norman Campbell Amen!
