Inquip Associates Inc., a geotechnical contractor, traces its roots back to the first trench ever excavated under bentonite slurry for an industrial application -the 1950 Terminal Island Project. The company, founded in 1977, continues to further develop the activity of the ground- water control division of Industrial Engineering and Equipment Corporation, founded by Charles H. Toll, one of the pioneers in the development of the slurry trench method who was instrumental in the promotion and construction of economical underground seepage barriers, including the Terminal Island Project.
From the mid-1970s and continuing today, Inquip is setting the industry standards for the installation of seepage barriers and applies its extensive experience and knowledge to ensure a successful resolution of its clients’ geotechnical needs. Inquip has experience with federal and state regulations governing health and safety for remediation work on hazardous and toxic sites. Only qualified, technically capable field managers oversee site construction.
