Kerns Trucking Inc

Thank you for the opportunity to tell you about our company. Kerns Brothers Company was established in 1933 in Granite Quarry, North Carolina. In 1941, brothers Clyde and Jim Kerns relocated to Kings Mountain, North Carolina, beginning a long and prosperous relationship that continues with the community today. In 1970 the Kerns Brothers retired, leaving the business in the capable hands of Johnny Kerns, who reincorporated the business to Kerns Trucking, Inc. Johnny continued to build upon the foundational commitment of hard work and great people. 1974 began the involvement of the third generation with the entry of Butch Kerns into Kerns daily operations. Ten years later, Clyde Kerns joined the company securing the slogan “Powered by Three Generations”. In 2010, Alyson Kerns Gray joined the family business with her brother, Clay Kerns, joining in 2015.

Kerns' corporate headquarters are located in Grover, North Carolina and have continued to expand with offices in Kannapolis, North Carolina, Mt. Holly, North Carolina, and most recently Pacolet, SC. Our success falls squarely upon the shoulders of our many capable employees and is perhaps best described in our mission statement:
