BeaconRidge Health Insurance Services, Inc. shared Stop Number 45 Now's post.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA also known as Obamacare) dodged a bullet today. The health care of millions of American will continue. However, #45 has declared that he is happy to let it fail. Take that to mean using the broad authority of GOP-influenced HHS and CMS to undermine and block efforts to fix and improve it. Watch Tom Price, the Secretary of HHS and Seema Verma, the new head of CMS that oversees Medicare and Medicaid, closely. They can do lots to help or harm. We won a battle. We have not yet won the war by any means. The ACA is not perfect and needs to be tweaked, and we need to fight to make that happen. But it is infinitely superior to the proposed alternatives. Let's fight to make it better. Be vigilant.

The “widowmaker” isn’t human, but it takes many, many lives.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) said today that Trumpcare would leave 24 million people without health insurance. Wow. That's a big number and hard to wrap our heads around. This may help - it is the combined populations of MONTANA, NORTH DAKOTA, SOUTH DAKOTA, IDAHO, WYOMING, NEBRASKA, KANSAS, NEW MEXICO ALABAMA, WEST VIRGINIA, DELAWARE, MAINE, NEW HAMPSHIRE, VERMONT, RHODE ISLAND. Just take that in for a moment. 15 US states. Fifteen.
The Republicans’ proposed American Health Care Act aims to take a wrecking ball to the principle of universal coverage.
