#WishBone Update!
WISHBONE UPDATE: Wishbone has healed up nicely and gained weight. Last Thursday he was scheduled to get neutered. He also had the stubborn quills that were along his rib cage and under his inner leg surgically removed. He had a few sutures, and a drain tube for a few days but that has since been removed. He is healing up nicely. We have really been fortunate for the outpouring of support shown for Wishbone. Wishbone has now recovered enough to be placed up for adoption! We love him, but also want him in a home of his own. We would like to thank all of you who donated towards his care, and made his recovery possible. Thank you Hannah and friends, for getting him the help he needed that night in the woods. Thank you Dr. Ron Schwab for always taking those late evening calls from the animal control officer, needing some kind of care for some poor creature in bad shape. Thanks to ABVS for the veterinary care provided. We are truly appreciative. Lastly, thank you Mike for offering the best rehab a dog could have! Rehab with Mike was fun; Wishbone had to relax on the couch, go sailing on the bay, camping in the RV, daily meals/meds on time, snacks, walks, baths, rides, meet and greets with visitors. :-) Thanks everyone for following his story and progress! We are now going to take applications for the adoption of Wishbone. If you have followed his story and have interest in adoption please fill out the adoption application below. You may email the application, fax, stop in to the shelter and fill it out, or drop in off in person to the shelter. We will take applications for several days and then begin reviewing them. We will narrow it down to several applicants and call to schedule meet and greets with Wishbone. Once that is done, we will have an independent person in our community pick the applicant that will be chosen to adopt Wishbone. Stay Tuned!
