In 1951, with a dream of building a retirement facility, a donation of land and gift of $500, members of the American Danish Evangelical Church formed a corporation known as Solvang Lutheran Home. Two years later, in April of 1953, their dreams were realized when we began welcoming our first residents. Solvang Lutheran Home is now Atterdag Village of Solvang
