I was born in Livonia, Michigan in June of 1958. While growing up I was active in sports including baseball, soccer, and ice hockey. It was a sports injury in my last year of high school that brought me to chiropractic care. My interest in sports continued through under graduate school as well as at Palmer College of Chiropractic where I played both ice hockey and rugby. I had the honor of being a starting member of Palmer College’s 1979 National Collegiate Champion Rugby Team.
Palmer Colleg
e of Chiropractic provided me a wonderful education. I graduated in March of 1982 with academic honors. Following graduation from Chiropractic College, I did internships in Minnesota, North Carolina, and Arizona working under numerous doctors studying various techniques. I finally settled in Colorado where I opened my own practice in October of 1984. There I practiced through September of 1995. While practicing in Colorado I was a member of The Colorado Chiropractic Association’s Ethics and Legislative Committee. This gave me the opportunity to testify at the state capital on behalf of the Colorado Chiropractic Association to the State Health Committee. I also represented the Colorado Chiropractic Association in front of the Boulder Memorial Hospital Chiropractic Task Force and was the representative of the Colorado State Chiropractic Society to the International Academy of Industrial Consultants.
Through my as
sociation with rugby I had the honor to travel with the USA Rugby Football Team to the 1991 Rugby World Cup in England as a chiropractor to team members.
While in practice I have kept abreast of the latest research and development within the chiropractic health care field. Some of my post graduate studies include: certification in Chiropractic Biophysics, evaluation and treatment of Low Back Disc Syndrome, and 300 hours of post graduate Chiropractic Orthopedics.
In September of 1995 I took time off from active practice to pursue a life long goal. I spent a year traveling the USA, Caribbean, and South Africa. Then in the fall of 1996 I purchased a sailboat and spent the next five years sailing the Florida Coast, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. I was fortunate enough to do an Atlantic Crossing from England to Antigua in the French West Indies. Through all my travels I continued to share chiropractic care with the people I met. A traveling chiropractor is a popular guy in any boat marina. Upon my return to reality in 2001 I took my Florida State Boards and in October of 2002 I opened my present office in Fort Myers.
A career in Chiropractic has allowed me to do many wonderful things in my life. What I enjoy most though is helping people regain their health and achieve a life style they desire and deserve. Some people’s desires are to end their needless suffering. Others wish to improve their health beyond just feeling okay, while still others wish to maximize their health potential. Whatever your goals chiropractic can help you achieve them. Chiropractic allows you to live life to it’s fullest.
