Berean Baptist Church

Berean Baptist Church

The purpose of Berean Baptist Church is to glorify God by becoming and making disciples of Jesus Christ who honor God, grow together, and serve others.

Berean Baptist Church has been proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ from the Creston neighborhood of northeast Grand Rapids since 1892.

We seek to honor God by obeying and worshipping him as individuals, as families, and as a community of believers. We seek to grow together in spiritual discipleship by preaching and sharing the gospel, studying and teaching the Bible, and promoting Christ-centered relationships. We seek to serve others by reaching out to help and disciple others both near and far, exerting a moral and Christian influence in the community, and generating a missionary spirit worldwide.

We are extraordinarily blessed to be welcoming Mark Mittelberg to our fellowship to speak to us this coming Sunday! Mark is a bestselling author, international speaker, and a leading strategist in outreach. His books include the soon-to-be released apologetics devotional, The Case for Christ: Daily Moment of Truth (with Lee Strobel, his writing and ministry partner of 30 years), The Questions Christians Hope No One Will Ask (With Answers), Confident Faith, and The Reason Why Faith Makes Sense. He is also the primary author of the celebrated Becoming a Contagious Christian training course (with Lee Strobel and Bill Hybels), which has been translated into more than 20 languages and helped nearly two million people around the world learn to share their faith in natural ways. Mark was the first evangelism director at Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago, as well as Executive Vice President of the Willow Creek Association, where he served for many years. He writes, speaks, and consults from Denver, Colorado, where he and his wife Heidi now live.
