Since 1967, when Cranston and Associates of Augusta combined with Baldwin Engineering Company to create the company as it is known today, Cranston Engineering Group has taken great pride in providing civil engineering, structural engineering, planning, and land surveying services throughout the Southeast.

The Cranston team is comprised of about 50 professionals who are dedicated to providing cutting edge design solutions to enable clients to conceive and implement their goals, regardless of size, scope, or complexity. Through a strong commitment to customer service and client satisfaction, each member of the team remains focused on providing clients with the highest quality and imaginative engineering, planning, and surveying services for projects that are consistent with the firm’s core beliefs.

Cranston offers Civil Engineering services to private and public sector clients ranging from site design, water works, wastewater systems, and storm drainage to transportation, land development, and waterfront development. Projects are generally undertaken only if they can be designed and constructed consistent with the values and aesthetics of the communities in which they are undertaken.

The firm’s Structural Engineering division provides a wide spectrum of structural engineering services either directly for project owners or through architectural teams. The firm’s resume includes projects as varied as commercial buildings, bridges, telecom towers, and underwater investigations.

The Planning services offered by Cranston Engineering Group provide imaginative solutions for a variety of both public and private sector planning endeavors. Land use plans, facility studies, master plans, and regional plans provide for orderly growth taking into account the optimal use of available land and resources.

The comprehensive Land Surveying services Cranston provides involve both stand alone projects and those that support the firm’s engineering practice. Individual client assignments include boundary surveys, route surveys, topographic mapping, wetlands mapping, and GPS surveys.
