Physiatry, often referred to as Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), is the field of medicine concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of disabilities that hinder a person’s ability to perform everyday activities such as walking, speaking, dressing, and working.
An evaluation by a member of our dedicated physiatry team is designed to determine the root cause of a disability, identify any barriers to rehabilitation, and devise an individualized treatment plan that may include exercise, medications, counseling, injections, rest, and/or therapy. Moreover, treatment involves the whole person and addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs that must be satisfied in order to successfully restore an individual's quality of life to its maximum potential.
Since we offer an aggressive, non surgical approach to pain and injury, our team is the ideal choice for the treatment of a wide variety of debilitating diseases and conditions.
