Weld Food Bank is a member of Feeding America and was founded in 1982. Our mission is to lead and engage our community in the fight against hunger.
Weld Food Bank collects surplus food from food processors, farms, distributors, restaurants and supermarkets. We also conduct community food drives and glean from local gardens and farms.
This food is then distributed through our seven direct service programs and nonprofit agencies in Weld County that provide meals and services to people in need.
The diversity of our agencies include: * Food pantries * Battered women’s shelters * Soup kitchens * Residential treatment centers * Senior and youth programs
These agencies serve all ages and segments of our community. The food provided to those living with hunger often means the difference between feeding their families or going hungry, having hope or living in despair.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
