The impact of Hurricane Maria caused widespread devastation in Puerto Rico, and the community of Naranjito was no exception. These impacts struck particularly close to home for Amneris 'Amy' Blitz of our Ft. Lauderdale office, who had grown up in Naranjito. Amy is personal assistant to Ft. Lauderdale partner-in-charge Cheryl Wilke. With Cheryl's support and encouragement, attorneys and staff of the Ft. Lauderdale office came together to donate gifts for special needs students of the Francisco Lopez Cruz Elementary School, where Amy's sister-in-law teaches. The office team purchased, wrapped and shipped 64 gifts, which Amy and Cheryl then personally delivered to the children in Puerto Rico. Here are photos of some of the children opening their gifts, as well as a picture of the school post-hurricane. Blessings to everyone this holiday season, and many thanks to our Ft. Lauderdale colleagues for such an amazing show of generosity and support.
