Alameda Church of Christ shared Alameda Celebrate Recovery's post.
We ALL struggle with something at some point in our lives. And in Celebrate Recovery we are reminded that we don't have to struggle alone; God is in control.
Celebrate Recovery is not only for addicts and alcoholics. It is for anyone suffering through issues such as anxiety, grief over the loss of a loved one, over-eating, anger, or anything else that might be affecting the state of your health, your mind, or your strength. CR is a safe place for you to work through those struggles with the support of others.
If you are struggling with ANY life issue that is affecting your relationship with God, join us on Fridays for Celebrate Recovery.
Some people get really stuck on their mis-interpretation of the word "Recovery" and feel that CR is a program that is only for addicts or alcoholics.
According to Webster's Dictionary:
Celebrate- "acknowledge (a significant happy day or event) with a social gathering or enjoyable activity"
Recovery- "a return to a normal state of health, mind or strength."
If ANYTHING is bothering your health, mind or spirit, CR is for YOU! Join us Fridays to begin the journey of healing.
