The Chincoteague Center is operated by the Chincoteague Recreation and Convention Center Authority of Chincoteague, Virginia. The Center was opened in 1996 with the goal of promoting commerce as well as provide a facility for commercial rental opportunities. It was built without cost to the taxpayers of Chincoteague or Accomack County and is operated on a fee basis.
