Just a little too late for Mr. Ridge Vent to save the day...…

Air Vent with S&K Roofing, Siding and Windows.
"The Box Vent Bandit strikes again." -- Sean Toms, S & K Roofing, Siding and Windows (Eldersburg, MD). Great field find and photo caption. Thank you for sharing. Next time Mr. Ridge Vent may save the day. Have a great weekend ahead, everyone.

We received our Report Card: 4.7...out of 5.0....…

We just finished reading the collected Feedback Forms from the 2017 Air Vent "Ask the Expert" Seminar attendees. Over 1,300 Forms in all. We love reading them. It drives our content ideas (among other things). It's also your chance to give us a Grade. Well, you scored this year's seminar a 4.7 on a scale of 1 to 5. That's our highest rating in the 19-year history of the program (4.6 was tops). THANK YOU!

Don't think the Install Sheet is needed?…

Air Vent with Don Hancock.
When Air Vent Indy Seminar attendee Don Hancock (DC Roofing and Exteriors in Greenwood, IN) shared this photo with us he explained it angered him. On behalf of the homeowner he was frustrated that the incorrect usage of the exhaust vents damaged the upper portion of the roof deck. We share your frustration, Don. And we appreciate you passing the photo along so we can add it to our "don't do" section of next year's Ask the Expert seminars. Thank you.

Homeowners can read. And take photos. Then they email us...…

Dear Air Vent: Has the roofing contractor cut my ridge vent slot correctly? This is among the most asked and photographed topics submitted by homeowners.

Where is your bath fan ductwork terminating?…

Air Vent with North American Contractors, Inc..
The photo is a little blurry but the mistake is clear... The bath fan ductwork is disconnected and dumping warm, moist air directly into the attic. YIKES! Nice field find by North American Contractors (Indianapolis, IN). Thank you for sharing. Where was the ductwork headed, anyway? Please keep the photos coming. You are helping Air Vent further educate the roofing industry.
