Solar Studios

Located two miles east of the Hollywood sign, Solar Studios is the perfect location for any motion or still project, special engagements, and private events. From independent short films, viral videos, to major ad campaigns no matter what media platform, nearly anything is possible.

Built in the 1930s, Solar has kept the building’s original polished architecture intact. Solar is a 7,000 sq. ft. facility consisting with some of the following: 85' cyclorama (we do digital green and various colors), three hair/make-up bays, fully functional kitchen and showers, set walls, home furnishings, private exterior areas, giant steel door, wood decking as well as poured patina concrete, interior and exterior staircases, possible rooftop access, and a host of architectural qualities. Solar is a backlot of creative choices. The vintage red and white brick walls, five arched windows that can be blacked out, and wooden bow-truss ceiling make this the original LA super boutique studio.

Comprised of at least three different SoHo loft looks inside Solar, as well as a second floor loft and an annex insert studio, we have a nice variety of shooting options.
