Our work is performed primarily from the historic Kohl Pumphouse and Greenhouse/Nursery area in the San Mateo Central Park. Ongoing activities include: Monthly free educational Garden seminars and workshops Free Master Gardeners’ plant clinics Weekly operation of the Greenhouse/Nursery which sells an array of perennial, succulent/cacti, shrubs, tropical and orchid plants to the public Maintenance of the park’s beloved Rose Garden, Butterfly-Hummingbird Garden, the Kohl Pumphouse and surrounding landscaping Quarterly newsletters provide useful, season-specific gardening information and anecdotes Our primary yearly event is the popular Hillsborough/San Mateo Annual Garden Tour, featuring gardens reflecting a broad variety of methods and designs
