Natural Lands is the foremost land conservation organization in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey, saving thousands of acres of forests, fields, streams, and wetlands each year. Since 1953, we have worked to save and steward open space by preserving and caring for natural lands, healthy habitats, and clean watersheds for the benefit of native plants, wildlife, and current and future generations. Today, with the help of our dedicated members and partners, we own and manage 43 nature preserves, totaling more than 21,000 acres, and hold nearly 300 conservation easements and other restrictions on more than 20,000 acres. Our comprehensive and practical approach to conservation includes:
• Land protection through acquisition and development restrictions; • State-of-the-art planning and regulatory tools to help growing communities preserve more of their land; • Leadership in managing natural landscapes; and • Providing an opportunity for people to connect with and learn from nature on our preserves.
