University of Minnesota launches Athletes Village which features several Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha!
Athletes Village officially opened yesterday for student-athletes and one of the first things you see are former African American Gopher greats who are also Alpha men or friends of Alpha! Bobby Bell and Sandy Stephens are legends and are both brothers from Mu Chapter! Bill Munsey, Judge Dickson, and Carl Eller are mentioned on the wall and are also all brothers from Mu Chapter! Bobby Marshall along with Bro. Fitz Pollard (the first black coach in the NFL and an Alpha man) were both the first black players to play in the NFL and were very good friends. Marshall graduated from the U of M in 1906 (go figure...) but did not become an Alpha. #AlphaMN

Let's support Bro. Dr. Eugene Williams Sr.'s mission and help to make this happen!
At 75 years old, Eugene Williams Sr. has embarked on a self-directed mission: to persuade NBA teams to play “Lift Every Voice and Sing” (otherwise known as the “Black National Anthem”) before its games in February (otherwise known as Black History Month).
