The WoodWinds of Branford was acquired by The Suppa Family in January 2007. Chef Silvio Suppa and his wife, Vittoria honed their blend of family-style service with the best of old world tastes at Delmonaco’s, on famous Wooster Street, the Little Italy of New Haven. This is where Chef Silvio’s of Wooster Street Italian Sauces began as well as a long tradition of offering their guest the highest level of service and exceptional cuisine.

Today, The Allegre Group, the parent company, is composed of Chef Silvio’s of Wooster Street Italian Sauces, Café Allegre of Madison, the Inn at Layette, located right above Café Allegre and now The Woodwinds of Branford.
With the accumulated experience of operating all these venues, The Suppa Family knows what it takes to keep their guests coming back. Chef Silvio’s inspirational dining experience has lured customers from all around New England. This culinary experience is now Woodwinds’ standard.

For many years now, the Suppa Family has made many brides' dreams come true with their intimate garden weddings at Café Allegre. The Suppas know it is the details that make an event special. With the ability to host up to 600 seated guests at WoodWinds and up to 200 seated guests at their restaurant, Café Allegre, the Suppa Family has the perfect venue for all occasions.
