In order to be a participating agency of the Schuylkill United Way, agencies must adhere to strict rules and regulations set by the Board of Directors. Each year, every agency must submit a copy of their annual report, most recent audit, list of current Board of Directors and officers, IRS 990 Form, and the Bureau of Charitable Organizations Certificate. Agencies must be compliant with all requests so that the Schuylkill United Way can be assured that residents of Schuylkill County are being properly served and appropriate programs and services are being offered.
In past years, over 88,500 Schuylkill County residents received assistance from at least one of the 15 Schuylkill United Way partner agencies who solely serve Schuylkill County residents charging them little or nothing for the programs and services they receive. That number accounts for approximately 1 out of every 2 residents of Schuylkill County.
