Our Founding: Jeffrey Ackerman started out in the carpet business at a young age, picking up scraps in his father's store in Warsaw, NY. He spent his teens and early twenties building his ills as an installer, and grew to know every street and house in the county. He was a craftsman in the field by the time he transitioned from installing, and moved into managing the family business. There, he discovered how much he really enjoyed talking with his customers, and helping them get exactly what they needed for their home. In 1997, he moved his little family to Batavia, and opened his own store, Affordable Floorcovering. This venture brought all the elements of his experience together: now he was able to provide excellent, hand-chosen materials, along with years of wisdom and expertise.
