2017 Kids Classic Fishing Contest at Becker's Resort. The first of the season. Congratulations to Finn who took home the 1st place trophy. 2nd Place went to Casey and 3rd to Arie. The guys did an awesome job of fishing.

Our fishing season has started with a BANG!! We are seeing good numbers of walleyes coming from 8 feet of water all the way out to 20 feet or so. Shallow when the winds blowing deeper when it's not. Jigs and shiners have been the ticket. Starting to see some good numbers of perch coming from the stony point area in 12 feet of water on jigs and fatheads.

What a beautiful start to our 2017 fishing season. We've got shiners and fatheads along with leeches and crawlers. Stop in, launch your boat and say hi! Good luck to all anglers this weekend!

Took a run out to the lake tonight to check the melt process. Good news is she's melting but it's gunna be a while. Snapped a pic of a loon that was enjoying some open water back up in the north woods after a long winter south. Spring is in the air!!
