Announcing a new documentary about Alias Books: "Alias was a meeting place and literary salon for people who loved to learn all over Los Angeles. The film interviews a number of regulars and legends who met up at Alias for amazing and humorously irreverent conversations! The block of Sawtelle, a tapestry of record stores, bookstores, art galleries, movie rental stores, and indie theatres, brought some of the most interesting people in Los Angeles together. If you wanted to drive somewhere interesting, all you had to do was 'Turn Left on Sawtelle." Please message turnleftonsawtelle@gmail.com with the number of people in your group who are interested in attending the premiere. We'll rent a space once we have an estimate of the number of attendees.
