• Established Since 1921: Owl Pest Prevention has been servicing the Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia area for over 90 years. Licensed by the Maryland Department of Agriculture, Department of Pesticide Regulations, Virginia Department of Agriculture, and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculutre. We carry full insurance, certificate of insurance available on request.
• Service: Complete service for ants, cockroaches, rodents, fleas, termites, Birds, occasional invaders, stinging inspects, and bed bugs. Our service personnel will report to the properties as contracted. During these visits, they will do both remedial and preventative services. All preventative service inside the buildings will consist of visual inspections and then treatment as needed with gel bait for roaches; ants other bait, and related products for whatever type of pest we are treating for on that service visit.
• Safety: All pesticides and products used will be applied per label directions as required by EPA and Federal government regulations. All products used are both Federally and EPA approved and registered.
• Quality: The Urgent Action Ticket is used to alert the on site contact of anything that may need to be done to improve or facilitate better and swifter end to any pest problems such as repair of leaks, sanitation problems, structural repairs or changes, etc. to the property. This form has a follow up date that we will use to automatically return, inspect, and treat if needed. These forms are also catalogued in out computer system for long-term informational purposes such as locating long-term pest issues with particular units or other property conditions. This will allow us to track and assure quality control of our service.
• Communications and Documentation: All of our staff is reachable through our main office at 301-773-0400 any time during business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Our phone lines in our office do not use voice mail during normal business hours. We always have a trained staff member answer and handle your request or question immediately. If they cannot answer your request, a manager is located immediately to answer your request. Customer service and satisfaction is our #1 goal !
• Service Technicians: Most service technicians are fully certified as Pesticide Applicators in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, or any combination of the four. The experience and training all of our staff has had and the ongoing training we provide both in house as well as at pest conferences allows our staff to act immediately on site to any problem they may encounter and render the best service available. All staff also carries cell phones for communication with supervisors if needed at anytime.
• Integrated Pest Management: Owl Pest Prevention has developed a state of the art I P M program, which reduces pesticide use while providing effective, and cost efficient pest prevention. We are also a LEED Qualified pest service provider.
