While EVOS may sound new to some people, its roots are long and deep in Arizona and the office products industry. The owner & President, Hugh J. Doss, began his career in office products in 1953 with PBSW, the largest office products dealer in the Southwest. He began in the warehouse and steadily moved up through the company over the years. In 1977, Hugh was Vice-president of PBSW when Boise Cascade acquired the company. Hugh retired from Boise 10 years later and in 1987 opened his own Office Products Company called East Valley Office Supply. Hugh’s expertise and diligence along with hardworking family members and loyal employees turned East Valley Office Supply in to a very successful small business during a time when many small dealers were closing their doors due to the onset of the Big Box stores. As East Valley Office Supply grew and evolved, the moniker was changed to EVOS, as they were no longer limited to the East Valley, and had, in fact, serviced all of Arizona and offered nationwide capabilities. Continued growth over the last several years has put EVOS in the position of the second largest independent office product dealer in Arizona. EVOS did not just survive the onslaught of the Big Box stores, 9/11, economic downturns, etc., but they have prevailed and grown into a thriving business. How can that happen? Simple: by being competitive on price, having superior customer service, and most importantly have a company culture of always doing the right thing for the right reason. EVOS has one business location and warehouse at 3265 N. Delaware St, Chandler, AZ 85225. EVOS market area is mainly the Phoenix Metropolitan Area, but services several corporate accounts successfully with our nationwide delivery capabilities. This allows EVOS to buy from manufacturers and receive comparable direct buy costs that national chain stores enjoy. We are also supported by the top wholesaler in the nation, United Stationers; with 4 Billion in sales and 36 warehouses nationwide that allow us to provide next day delivery in most areas of the United States. Between our own warehouse at our business location and a wholesaler warehouse in Tempe, AZ., we have access to over 26,000 items on a same day basis, if necessary, and over 42,000 items on a next day basis. In addition to standard supplies, we excel in special orders and custom orders in areas that include office supplies, office furniture, janitorial supplies, break room supplies, technology supplies, custom print and custom promotional items.
