An Open Door Adoption Agency is a Christian, not-for-profit adoption agency, founded in 1986 to provide a positive alternative for unplanned pregnancy. The agency has since expanded its role to include that of finding Christian adoptive parents for foreign orphan children. Thousands of infants, older children & sibling groups are eagerly waiting for parents of their own.
An Open Door Adoption Agency is a licensed adoption agency in the State of Georgia. We were initially licensed to place children for adoption through the Georgia Department of Human Services in July 1987. For the past thirty-four years, the Georgia Department of Human Services has conducted annual re-licensure audits. Our most recent re-licensure audit was performed on October 7, 2021, and our license was renewed once again. We have been Hague accredited which is required for international adoptions since 2008. The accreditation process to remain Hague accredited is very stringent and agencies must demonstrate compliance with multiple standards over a period of many years in order to retain this designation. We are also an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Our agency specializes in domestic and international adoptions. To date, 1,630 domestic children have been placed through our agency, including special needs children, and we have placed over 1,000 international children with forever families.
