MORNING GRAIN MARKET UPDATE Futures in Chicago are off to a better start this morning. Trade was expecting to see a slight uptick in crop condition ratings yesterday afternoon. Corn conditions were steady versus last week at 67% G/E. Soybeans actually dropped a point down to 66% G/E. Spring wheat is now 40% G/E, compared to 41% last week. The weather picture is undefined for the next couple weeks as most of the Corn Belt will be approaching pollination. The marketplace continues to patiently wait for Friday’s acreage report with the average trade guess of 89.9 million acres of both corn and soybeans. Option volatility remains historically low for this time of year. On the open, corn is up 2 cents, soybeans are up 7 cents, KC Wheat is 2-3 higher.
