Genesee Valley Outdoor

Genesee Valley is located in Parkton, Maryland, just twenty-five minutes north of Baltimore City and thirty minutes south of York, Pennsylvania.

Our mission is to provide quality learning experiences that promote growth and nourish the development of individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

We focus on developing improved communication, cooperation, leadership, trust, persistence and creative problem solving skills through the use of our challenge course. Participants in our Adventure Education programs are able to realize their potential both as an individual and as a group. Students and adults come to our outdoor learning center for a day or several to engage in games and problem solving activities, which utilize the low and high ropes course elements. There is also more than just ‘fun’ to our program; our facilitators ‘debrief’ participants after activities and use the course to discuss ways to meet everyday life head on. Participants grow through both verbal discussions and physical challenges.
In addition to our Adventure Education programs (with an overnight camping option) we also offer Spring Break Camp, Summer Camp, off-site team building programs (year-round), and off-site rock climbing expeditions.

Our 150-acre campus is also host to lacrosse, soccer, football, and field hockey practices and tournaments, trail runs, and family or corporate picnics.

It is a testament to the quality of our programs that the growing popularity of the Outdoor Learning Center has spread throughout the region. With all that our programs and property have to offer, we serve nearly 15,000 individuals annually.
