Darlington County Council On Aging

The Darlington County Council on Aging offers the following services to Seniors in Darlington County;
Home-Delivered Meals (Meals-on-Wheels)...
for the frail and home-bound elderly in our county. A hot meal is delivered at no cost around noon Monday through Friday.
Group Dining
are served to Seniors at four nutrition centers located in Hartsville, Darlington, Society Hill and Lamar. Each center offers activities, excercise and education programs to Seniors. Transportation can be arranged.
Medical
for medical or other necessities is offered to Seniors as available. Transportation must be scheduled in advance. Call the main office to make an appointment.
Personal
provides assistance to those who need help with light housekeeping.
Respite
is offered to provide caregivers a break from the demands of caregiving.
Information Referral &
is available to assist Seniors and disabled citizens to identify resources, and seek help from various agencies. This service brings people and services together.
Legal & Advisory

Telephone
is available to clients who need be checked on daily.
Alzheimer's Support
meets the first Tuesday of every month at 10am at St. Barthoemew's Episcopal Church, 103 Campus Drive, Hartsville. This program is available to any caregiver or family member who needs this support.
Volunteer
are available to those individuals who would like to offer their assistance and service to our Seniors.
