Amko was started in 1976 in Gonzales, LA by Bob Meche. It has grown from a small shop in Gonzales to what it is today with 2 locations servicing LA and the Gulf Coast.
Amko started as a small operation with Mr. Meche wearing all the hats to what it is today. We now have a full fabrication shop with multiple welders, and 30+ employees in the field installing Fence, Automatic Gates, and Access Controls.
We also have a full office staff who keep up with insurance requirements, safety logs, OSHA, specifications, and anything else necessary to make life easy on our customers.
