Based in Lexington, Kentucky, Bates is a family owned and operated business that had its beginning in 1984 when Sonny and Pat Bates purchased the Lexington Sonitrol franchise. Sonny, as a former Dallas Police Officer, knows the fundamentals of providing security. He has built a company on these principles.
