Carol Avard founded Avard Law in 1989 in Cape Coral, FL, with the mission to help those suffering from injuries and illnesses receive the benefits they deserve. With that mission in mind, Avard Law has grown significantly. We now cover a multitude of law types with the help of our six attorneys and 30 staff members. Both attorneys Carol Avard and Douglas Mohney are board certified in social security disability law by The National Board of Legal Specialty, and many of our attorneys are members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). Since our founding, our presence has expanded to seven other office locations covering eighteen counties. We have tried our hardest to give back to our local community as well through supporting the arts and helping those in need.
