Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy focuses on the skills such as strength, motion, cardio/pulmonary endurance, postural control, balance and muscle tone in order to improve the child’s ability to move, explore and interact within their environment.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy helps children participate in the occupations of childhood by promoting sensory integration, physical control/coordination, developmental skills, psycho-social skills, and adaptation. Children’s occupations include: playing, eating, self-care, learning, writing, community skills, and socializing.
Speech Therapy
Speech therapy teaches skills and strategies to help children effectively communicate in their environment. Primary areas of assessment and remediation include: 1) Articulation- how sounds are produced, 2) Language- understanding others and expressing yourself, 3) Fluency- flow of language, 4) Voice- pitch, loudness, resonance, and vocal quality.
