Kalamazoo Fence was established in 1980 by Ed Uminn Ed who had 15 years of experience with Farm Bureau Services, worked in the Sales position, Installation Crew Leader and Custom gate building. Growing up in a family that was all about Fence, his new Business was just what this town needed.
Over the next 32 years, Ed built his business by giving his Customers Top Billing in his list of important business decisions, and as every repeat customer called back for a new fence at a new home, and referrals added to his list of new Customers, it’s a proven fact, that decision-making in a business, has to start with the Customer.
In August of 2016 Ed & Gail both retired and sold the business to Roy & Heather Roden. Roy took over the company on September 1,2016. Roy was employed with the company since 2001 working many positions such as office, yard guy and installer. In 2002 Roy became the estimator and did that job until he took over the company. Roy's wife Heather has been with the company since December of 2015.
