Andrea McGraw founded Andrea’s School of Dance in 1992. Since its opening it has been a place for dancers to learn, practice, perfect and perform the art of dance. In 1992, the studio had one room with a hardwood floor, then in 1998 a second studio was added in the rear of the building with its own waiting area. Both studios now have Marley flooring.
A competition team was formed in 1995 allowing students to travel to local and regional competitions to showcase their talents. They won numerous awards, including many special judges’ awards for teamwork, sportsmanship, costumes and entertainment. Competition team members have also qualified to compete at the National level winning prestigious awards.
In 2005 the competition team was formally named the MAINSTREET Dance Company and continues to win many awards at competition.
