Together We Cope is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit agency that bridges the gap for families in temporary crisis in 27 south suburban communities, enabling them to stay in their homes.
We feed 5,000 people a month from our food pantry, provide new or gently-used clothing and household goods from our resale shop, and . We give youngsters in need backpacks and school supplies in the fall, and help people pay mortgage, rent and utility bills when their financial situation changes suddenly.
Through special programs, we provide backpacks for 1,500 children heading back to school each fall and Christmas gifts for 1,500 children during the holidays.
