Valentini’s family-owned Italian restaurants, whose cornerstone establishment in Chisholm, MN and the more recent location on London Rd in Duluth, will be celebrating their 80 Year Anniversary in the foodservice business. Valentini’s is known for their homemade Italian food, originally crafted by the family matriarch, Justina Valentini, who opened Valentini’s in Chisholm on July 14, 1934. Justina was one of many hard working Italian immigrants who left her homeland in Italy in search of a new life in America. With nothing more than a few dollars in her pocket and her broken English to communicate Jusitna relied on her cooking talents and business sense to become one of the successful business owners on the Iron Range. Throughout the past 80 years, three generations of family members have taken the reins at Valentini’s and further developed and diversified the business. Paul David Marturano and co-owner Rob Russo operate Valentini’s Supper Club in Chisholm and Carol and Mia Valentini operate Valentini’s Vicino Lago in Duluth
