Our eight -hospital network includes Allegheny General Hospital on the North Side, , Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Canonsburg Hospital in Canonsburg, Forbes Hospital in Monroeville Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, West Penn Hospital in Bloomfield, and and Westfield Memorial Hospital in Westfield, NY.

Allegheny Health Network employs more than 17,000 people and has 2,100 physicians on its medical staff. The Network’s specialty programs have received national and international recognition – particularly in the areas of one and joint, cardiovascular, neurosciences, women’s health, transplantation, cancer, trauma, emergency and burn care.

As home to a major academic medical center at Allegheny General, Allegheny Health Network is strongly committed to the training of future generations of healthcare professionals by offering 46 graduate medical programs, two medical school affiliations and two nursing schools. Allegheny General and West Penn Hospital serve as clinical campuses for the medical schools of Drexel University and Temple University, respectively. Nearly 280 students are currently enrolled in nursing programs at West Penn Hospital and the Citizens School of Nursing in Natrona Heights.

Our Network also houses a diverse and robust medical research program. The Allegheny-Singer Research Institute sponsors and coordinates interdisciplinary programs to better understand and prevent human disease and study novel treatments for cancer, trauma and burn injury, cardiovascular disease, neurological diseases, allergy, asthma and immunological disease, diabetes, and more.
