We want to hear from you and welcome posts that are professional, family friendly, and:

• Celebrate the human-animal bond
• Drive awareness to help find lost pets
• Solve crimes against animals
• Garner support for animal welfare legislation
• Foster respectful and effective discussion

POSTS REGARDING LOST OR FOUND PETS do not constitute filing a lost or found pet report with the Sacramento SPCA. To file a lost or found pet report with the Sacramento SPCA or local animal control agencies, please visit for more information.

POSTS/COMMENTS THAT WILL BE REMOVED

We reserve the right to remove posts, comments, photos, video, and links that are not in accordance with the Sacramento SPCA Facebook page social media policy. These include, but are not limited to those that:

• Contain profanity or foul language
• Promote the sale of products, services or animals from organizations, businesses or individuals to which the Sacramento SPCA is not affiliated; this includes organizations, businesses or individuals we've partnered with on special projects and/or promotions
• Are considered spam or are off-topic
• Are repetitive
• Promote violence, illegal, or questionable activities
• Provide misinformation
• Antagonize, threaten, or personally attack an individual, group of individuals or the Sacramento SPCA
• Utilize graphic photography

We reserve the right to alter this policy at any time and to block or delete offenders of this policy at any time.
