Special Olympics Oklahoma

The Mission of Special Olympics Oklahoma is to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for persons eight years of age and older with intellectual disabilities. Our sports program gives our athletes the opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics Oklahoma athletes, and the community.

Special Olympics Oklahoma currently serves more than 11,600 athletes and is growing rapidly. Special Olympics Oklahoma takes pride in offering athletes 16 competitive sports throughout the year.

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We have a small staff with abundant opportunties for volunteering, including: coaching, assistant coaching, helping at competitions, assisting with paperwork, fundraising, and so much more.

Special Olympics Oklahoma is funded primarily through individual and corporate contributions, grants, sponsorships, and yearly fundraisers. This financial assistance covers many essential expenses including equipment, uniforms, transportation, meals, lodging,volunteer training, and more.

In exchange for a financial contribution, sponsors are recognized as a sponsor of Special Olympics Oklahoma. Sponsorship opportunities are available at all competitions, events and programs throughout the year and range from $1,000 to $50,000. Special Olympics Oklahoma reaches thousands of consumers in our state and is a highly recognized and respected organization. By partnering with Special Olympics Oklahoma, sponsors can positively impact their bottom line.
