Stephanie Miller Murphy spent the first part of her life in northeast Delaware enjoying lazy summers on Rehoboth Beach, boating and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay and eating seafood any chance she could get. Her family then moved to The Woodlands, Texas where she quickly learned to love everything “Texas.” She attended Southwest Texas State University and earned a BA in Journalism with a special focus on Advertising and Public Relations. Stephanie enjoyed a 25-year career in the hotel business, spending the last 8 years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts of New Orleans in the role of Complex Director of Sales and Marketing for W Hotels of New Orleans.
Travel has always been an important part of Stephanie’s life. As a child she was fortunate to experience yearly road trips with her family, camping in beautiful parks and forests the majority of the way. Over the course of several years they covered 38 different states! Her love for everything outdoors was cultivated by these experiences and as she grew, so did her passion for travel. In fact, to this day her desire to explore the world is stronger than ever. Her travel style has evolved and although she still enjoys the great outdoors, her passion for the finer things in life has become a motivating factor in her travels.
Stephanie loves planning travel and her enthusiasm for assisting her clients with travel planning comes naturally. Her clients enjoy her engagement in the planning phase where she dives in to discover what is most important. Stephanie stays involved thru all phases of planning and will even reach out to her client while they are traveling to ensure all is well. If her clients look back on their trip with fondness and their happy memory includes the fact that Stephanie was their travel advisor, then she believes she did a good job. Following up upon her clients return ensures that prompt feedback is received to better assist her clients with future travel plans.
