**Community Event** The next NAACP Bucks County Branch General Membership Meeting will be held at 7:00 PM, on Monday, May 8, 2017. It will be at the Parx Racing & Casino (the original building to the left rear, not the casino), 3001 E. Street Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. The Agenda will include: Steve Santarsiero – discussing the recent increase in hate incidents in Bucks County and how we are working to address them. Presentation by Arcadia Students – the rise of Hate Groups in the United States. Laura Jones/Erin Simmons – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County , types of mentoring programs they offer for kids/youth and the need for volunteers to become mentors. Matt Weintraub, District Attorney & John Wilson, former Little Brother-- How having mentors can make all the difference in having kids avoid risky behaviors, make smarter choices, and create higher goals for their future. Discuss intention of starting a "Bigs in Blue" program to help forge a stronger bond between law enforcement and at-risk kids in our community.
