Sojourners Care Network, a youth development organization, serves seven counties in the distressed Appalachian region of Southeastern Ohio. Sojourners was founded in 1999 with the initial mission to keep foster care youth from being placed in homes in urban settings far from home. As the challenging conditions and lack of opportunities for young people became more and more evident, Sojourners mission expanded to where it is today – focused on helping the most disenfranchised youth make a successful transition into adulthood.
