The Compassionate Care Veterinary Clinic opened in January of 2008 in order to provide an urgent medical care facility for the north-east section of Rhode Island and south-west Massachusetts. In the last year, we have expanded our services to promote long term care for chronic illness, hospice care, and care of small mammals. We are now a full service hospital, offering appointments for yearly check ups and vaccines, urgent care, chronic illness care, hospice care, and final arrangements for your pet.
Over the last 4 years, we have grown from a 3 employee facility, to a 3 doctor, 8 support staff practice that is currently in the process of achieving Dr. Farrington's dream of having a stand alone, environmentally friendly, full service facility. Our hope is to be in the new hospital, with 4 doctors and 15 staff by next year. Once we are in the new facility, we will be open from 8 am to 10 pm Monday through Friday, and 8 - 4 on the weekends.
