At Camelback Desert School, we adapt our curriculum in math, reading and writing to meet those needs. With regard to language arts, the curriculum ranges from reading readiness activities to advanced comprehension and vocabulary building in others. Constant exposure to words cultivates curiosity and interest in reading. In math, our school focuses on building critical thinking and promotes conceptual understanding of the skills being taught through real-world experiences. The curriculum supports the goals of the Common Core State Standards in Language Arts and Math, as well as Nobel Learning Communities National Standards Framework.
