Some rainbows have buckets of linemen rather than pots of gold! Here, APS linemen work through the rain in Grass Valley, CA, assisting northern California electricity company PG&E following a massive storm. Our crews are arriving back in Arizona today after spending the week in California as part of the Utility Mutual Assistance Program. They did a great job and got the work done safely. Glad to have you home!

Forty-one APS employees and 36 APS support vehicles arrived in northern California yesterday and immediately went to work assisting PG&E restore power to its electricity customers. More than 400,000 PG&E customers were initially left in the dark following this once-in-50-year storm. APS received the call for assistance Saturday afternoon through the Utility Mutual Assistance Program, an important industry partnership that allows neighboring utilities to provide crews, equipment and restoration help in times of need. Our crews are expected to stay on site for as long as needed to help safely restore power to our California neighbors.
