The Union County Dog Pound is located at 908 Sandy Lane, Morganfield, KY 42437. The phone number is 270)389-3000 or (270)748-7236. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:00 am -5:00 pm, and the first Saturday of each month from 8:00 am -12:00pm.
The county pound only impounds dogs. Due to the number of animals received, the pound is unable to keep them forever, so their time is limited. Strays brought into the pound are held for 5 days before being available to the public for adoption. This allows time for owners to be reunited with their pets. We recommend TAGGING and/or MICROCHIPPING your pets. We do scan for microchips and check for tags at our facility. The public is encouraged to visit during normal business hours if interested in adopting a dog from the pound. More information on adoption is available at the facility. We strive to maintain good working relationships with area rescues in order to give each dog the best chance for a better life. We highly recommend all pet owners spay and neuter their dogs. The Union County Dog Pound will require all adopted dogs to be spayed or neutered.
