GYAC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the primary purpose of enhancing the academic achievement of children in Indian River County to achieve their dreams of graduating. It is also a community centralized facility where adults and seniors thrive with classes, low impact aerobics and exercise classes and provides memory impaired patient caregivers with a much needed respite at our Breathing Room.
A volunteer Board of Directors governs the GYAC and embodies the concept that there is nothing more important than ensuring that our children are provided the support necessary to ensure their graduation from high school. It is also a prime objective of our staff to open up the possibilities of higher education after high school by preparing them with visits to outside colleges, universities and vocational schools as well as application prep for testing and scholarships.
