We want to wish Paula at Brookdale Utica in Michigan a splendid 100th birthday! #centenarian https://t.co/28kOKFAA7u

@TrevorKehl Hello Trevor, W2 forms should be mailed out by January 31st. Feel free to contact the community with questions.

Pastor, civil rights activist, and Brookdale Robin Run Village resident, Leon Riley remembers the march from Selma to Montgomery vividly. He remembers how electrifying it was to hear Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speak to the crowd of 25,000, how shocked he was to hear the yells and obscenities from civil rights opponents, and how he and five other men protected Dr. King from death threats. It was more than a march, it was the most meaningful moment of his life. http://bkd.co/6180rLPcu

Flashback Friday to when Brookdale resident JoAnne and her sister met Luke Brian after his concert! What a wonderful Wish of a Lifetime to make come true.

They don't make many guys like 87-year-old Richard "Dick" Dungan. To his friends he's known as "The Most Interesting Man in the World," an apt nickname judging by his accomplishments. From becoming a factory race car driver for luxury brands like Mercedes and Porsche to inventing the "Dungan Quick Switch," a self-hurling jib for sailboats, it's evident Dick has lived a life some only read about in story books. As a man always in search of adventure, it wasn't until his 40s that Dick took his first flight, which soon became one of his favorite pastimes. Due to an injury, it's been years since Dick last took to the skies, but all of that changed this past December. Thank you to our partner Wish of a Lifetime for helping make this dream a reality!
